Hello! My name is Katie, and I am the face behind Purl on Fire.

I am a lifelong knitter from Virginia, USA. I love knitting with texture and color. I almost always have a pair of socks on the go.

When I'm not tangled in yarn, you can likely find me in the kitchen or playing outside. My favorite food is pasta, and I love making homemade bread. I'm trying to learn how to garden and have so far experienced mixed results. Tomatillos love me; zucchinis do not.

My sidekick, Samson the corgi, is very cute and very full of shenanigans. Do not believe him when he tells you he's innocent.
